At The Horizon our staff approach is simple but friendly. The staff are all locals and the business is locally owned. Ayu, the owner of the business ensures a clean, efficient and friendly service.

The staff are all eager to learn and The Horizon is a place where the focus is on developing the professional skills of the young people of the village, giving them an opportunity to learn and go onto bigger and better things. For many it’s their first time working in hospitality so we hope you’ll appreciate this context and enjoy their enthusiasm and forgive the rough edges!

The property is owned by two partners, an Indonesian and an Australian. However they do not make any money from this venture. Ayu, who was born and raised in Senaru runs the business for the benefit of her young family and to help employment in the local community. You can be sure that the money you spend at The Horizon stays right in Senaru, so you’re helping, in a small way, to develop the local economy.
